Sulla piattaforma XB8 il kit 2016 si avvale di molti dei miglioramenti e perfezionamenti introdotti con buggy XB8 nitro di quest’anno, ad esempio un pacco di sospensioni aggiornato, un nuovo telaio e alcune parti di drivetrain ridisegnati.
A partire con il telaio, la parte in alluminio 7075-T6 aiuta un bilanciamento del peso ottimizzato grazie ad essere 4 millimetri più corto per spostare il peso in avanti.
L’estremità anteriore più stretta è destinata a migliorare sterzo, mentre la parte posteriore è più ampia per una maggiore stabilità.
La grande lavorazione mantiene il peso della piastra da 3mm minimo.
Nel nuovo pacchetto telaio vengono anche aggiornate le protezioni laterali che sono montate dall’alto così come bretelle del telaio di nuova concezione, con quello posteriore che permette di montare una coppia di grafite opzionale per irrigidire la parte posteriore.

Xray have announced the 2016 variant of their XB8E 1/8th E-buggy kit. Building on the successful XB8 platform the 2016 kit makes use of many of the improvements and refinements introduced with this year’s XB8 nitro buggy, such as an updated suspension package, a new chassis and some redesigned drivetrain parts. Starting with the chassis, the 7075-T6 aluminium part makes for an optimised weight balance thanks to being 4mm shorter to move the weight forward. A more narrow front end is meant to improve steering while the rear and is wider for increased stability. Excessive machining keeps the weight of the 3mm plate at a minimum. Part of the new chassis package are also updated side guards that are mounted from above as well as newly designed chassis braces with the rear one allowing to mount an optional graphite brace to stiffen the rear end.
