Progettato per distaccare i posti di guida dalla piastra del telaio, il set comprende un nuovo monta servo di alluminio interno, una piastra superiore in fibra di carbonio, nuovi posti di guida e una disposizione di hardware e accessori tra cui un nuovo servo in lega esterno.
La piastra superiore in fibra di carbonio prenderà le sollecitazioni di sterzo in modo che non interferiscano con il telaio flessibile che renderà per migliore lo sterzo in accelerazione, la vettura sarà più facile da guidare e più coerente. pilota del team Samix Nicholas Lee ha già dimostrare le prestazioni del sistema flottante in occasione della recente gara TITC in Thailandia.

Coming from Samix and made for the Yokomo BD7-2016 is a floating steering system. Designed to uncouple the steering posts from the chassis plate the set includes a new inner aluminium servo mount, a carbon fibre upper plate, new steering posts and an arrangement of hardware and accessories including a new outer alloy servo mount and alloy servo lug bushings. The upper carbon fibre plate will take the steering posts so they do not interfere with chassis flex which will make for improved on-power steering, the car will be easier to drive and more consistent. Samix team driver Nicholas Lee already prove the performance of the floating steering system by making the A-main at the recent TITC race in Thailand.
